A skidoo trip to Barentsburg and Mohnbukta

While beeing in Svalbard in may 2012 we rented some snowmobiles (they call ´em snoskuters) and went to the russian mining town of Barentsburg. When we got there it was snowing like hell but it was a great trip!

The next day we decided to give it a try and drive to the east coast- we were prepared with guns, maps and 2 GPS, extra gas and food do the trip was totally safe.
No bears- but spectacular scenery and landscapes, glaciers, moraines, pack ice, tricky snow conditions and loads of fun and adventure!
